Web design across Cornwall , small businesses and sole traders.

Who's building your website?
I'm Paul George, a website specialist with over 20 years of experience, currently Senior Frontend Developer at Nurtur Ltd.
I build and rescue websites for small businesses and the property sector, from local trades in Liskeard and Cornwall to high‑traffic estate agency platforms.
Based in Cornwall, UK. No offshore teams, no sales pitch.
Why work with me
I'm based in Cornwall, so you get a human, not a ticket system. I quote a fixed price with no surprise extras, and I build sites that are meant to get you calls and enquiries, not just look good. If you already have a site, I'll tell you whether to fix it or bin it before you spend.
What you get
A small, focused site that explains what you do, where you work in Liskeard and Cornwall, and how people can contact or book you. No jargon, no mystery packages.
3–8 page brochure site
Home, Services, About, Contact, plus FAQ if it makes sense. Enough to look credible and answer questions. No blogs or extras you'll never have time to use.
Right tech, no forced platform
I build lean, often with modern code, so your site is fast and maintainable. If you need a CMS, we can do that; if you'd rather just get updates from me when you need them, that's fine too.
Fast, mobile‑first and Google‑friendly
Built lean and performance‑first. It should load quickly on a ropey 4G signal as much as on fibre – so you show up when people search in Liskeard and the surrounding area.
Local SEO baked in
Titles, meta, headings and on‑page copy set up so you can show up for "near me" and "Liskeard" style searches in the areas you actually serve.
Forms, calls and maps wired up
Contact forms that deliver to your inbox, click‑to‑call buttons on mobile, and Google Maps so people can find you when they're nearby.
Straight, honest advice
If you already have a site, I'll tell you honestly whether to fix it or bin it before you spend. I do audits as well as builds.
Not sure you need a new website?
If your site works but feels off, a review lets you fix what matters without jumping into a rebuild. Most small business owners start here and only redesign once it clearly makes sense.

A simple website process for Liskeard
Step 1 – Short call or email
You tell me what you do, where you work in Liskeard and Cornwall, and what you need the site to do: calls, enquiries, bookings, or all three.
Step 2 – I sketch the structure
I map out the pages, key messages and a simple layout so visitors can land, understand what you do and take the next step in seconds.
Step 3 – Build and review
I put the site together, you see it on a private link and we tweak wording, images and any rough edges together.
Step 4 – Launch and hand‑over
I put it live on your domain, wire up analytics and hand over. If you want to edit content yourself, we can set that up, but in practice most small business owners don't have the time. I'm happy to do ad‑hoc updates when you need them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you sort my domain and email?
Yes. I can help you register or transfer a domain, point it at the new site, and set up sensible email (e.g. you@yourbusiness.co.uk) so everything works together properly. I can also advise on configuring Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 for your business.
Can I update the website myself?
I don't force a particular platform on you. If you want to edit content yourself, we can build that in. Honest truth: I've rarely seen a small business owner or sole trader actually update their own site – they don't have the time or the inclination. So I build something that works, and you can ask me for updates when you need them. No pressure either way.
Do you do monthly retainers?
Not by default. Most small business projects are fixed‑price builds. If you want an ongoing retainer for updates and tweaks, we can do that, but I'm not bundling you into a subscription you don't need.
How long does it take?
A typical 3–8 page small business or sole trader site takes around 2–4 weeks from "yes, let's do it" to launch, assuming you're available for feedback and can supply content and photos without huge delays.
What support do you offer?
Once your website is built, I tend to let you decide the pace of updates. I don't pressure you, or try to upsell new features, redesigns or subscribe you to newsletters. If you need help, I'm happy to give you a fixed price for ad-hoc updates when you need them.
