I fix websites.
Then I stop them breaking
20 years' experience shipping high-traffic sites for UK estate agencies, property groups and global brands.
Senior Frontend Developer
Currently at Nurtur Ltd. Based in Cornwall, UK, fully remote.
What I do
I've spent decades shipping and rescuing real-world sites, from old template stacks to modern React builds and the WordPress clunkers in between. I bridge the gap between design and engineering with clean code and a low tolerance for over-engineered nonsense.
How I work
Resourcefulness beats theory every day. I lean on smart tools, using AI as a second brain to augment speed and accuracy, while leveraging deep experience to move fast without trashing maintainability. You're not paying for my struggle; you're paying for my judgment and a finished product that works. I'm not here to drown you in jargon; I'm here to solve business problems with technology.
Who I'm best for
Technical buyers, agencies, or contractors who need someone that knows the full stack but specialises in the frontend. I'm for those who value speed, accessibility, and performance over complex abstractions. If you have a site that feels "broken" but you can't quite say why, or a project that needs to launch yesterday without cutting the wrong corners, we should talk.
Career History
Key milestones from my 20-year journey building for the web.
Frontend & WordPress Developer
Developing robust frontend solutions and complex WordPress products for key brands in the property technology sector.
Senior Front-End Developer / DevOps Manager
A 14-year tenure scaling bespoke estate agency platforms. Progressed from Front-End Developer to serving as DevOps Manager (2018 – 2020) to establish solid CI/CD pipelines, and ultimately leading frontend architecture for hundreds of high-traffic property sites.
Web Designer & Frontend Developer
Cut my teeth in high-pressure web design environments. Delivered e-commerce solutions for one of the UK's largest gaming retailers, and built highly accessible enterprise interfaces at digital agencies.
Web Designer (Global Enterprise)
Early career experience at a global technology leader, learning the rigour and standards required for enterprise-level web design and digital delivery.
The Technical Stack
I build with a blend of modern, cutting-edge technologies and battle-tested systems. My focus is always on performance, maintainability, and accessibility, choosing the right tool for the job, not just the trendiest one.
Plugins & Custom Tools
A handful of tools I've built to solve real problems on real projects. Some ship as WordPress plugins, others live as local scripts or browser add-ons, all of them exist because clicking around by hand was a waste of time.

WP Site Sweeper
Utility plugin that keeps legacy WordPress installs clean, fast, and free from plugin cruft.

NeonNoir
A focused image-prompt generator for moody, cinematic visuals, built to cut out endless prompt fiddling.

FireGPT
Firefox add-on that wires ChatGPT straight into search, so I can analyse pages and draft responses without context-switching.

Gravity Forms Extender
Adds smarter validation, useful merge tags, and proper booking fields to Gravity Forms instead of hacking every form by hand.

Eleventy8 Website Auditor
Prototype SEO and content audit tool that crawls sites, spots issues, and uses AI to suggest fixes.

Brand Assets Helper
Bulk image resize script that spits out favicons, social images, and brand assets in one go, instead of faffing in a GUI.
The Gear
If you care about gear, here's the junk I use to get work done. If you don't, you can safely ignore this bit.
The tools don't make the work good, but they do get out of the way so I can focus on the hard bits.

Let's build something
that's not utterly awful.
If you've got a project that matters and a realistic budget, get in touch. I don't do hard sales pitches or follow-up spam; you either want it or you don't. I enjoy finding solutions; just don't hire me to second-guess every decision I make.
I usually start with paid consulting sessions and project reviews at around £100 per hour rather than free "pick your brain" sessions.
