Websites for Cornwall Trades, Shops & Sole Traders
Fixed-price builds from £900. One person. 20 years' experience. No agency mark-up.

Who's building your website?
I'm Paul George, a website specialist with over 20 years of experience, currently Senior Frontend Developer at Nurtur Ltd.
I build and rescue websites for small businesses and the property sector, from local trades in Cornwall to high‑traffic estate agency platforms.
Based in Cornwall, UK. No offshore teams, no sales pitch.
Websites for Cornwall Small Businesses
I have worked with small businesses and sole traders across Cornwall, trades in Liskeard and Bodmin, cafés in Truro and Falmouth, small shops in St Austell, holiday lets near Newquay, and services in Penzance and Launceston.
Still relying on a Facebook page and word of mouth?
Trades in and around Liskeard, Bodmin, St Austell and Launceston who need something better than a Facebook page and a faded van sign.
Your website isn't bringing in calls. Let's fix that.
Cleaners, therapists, hairdressers, cafés and small shops across Truro, Falmouth, Penzance and beyond who want something simple that actually brings in calls and enquiries.
Need something that looks the part when a client Googles you?
Consultants, coaches, photographers, designers and other creatives who need a clean brochure site to explain what they do and give people a clear next step.
Why work with me
I'm based in Cornwall, so you get a human, not a ticket system. I quote a fixed price with no surprise extras, and I build sites that are meant to get you calls and enquiries, not just look good. If you already have a site, I'll tell you whether to fix it or bin it before you spend.
What you get for £900
A small, focused 4‑page site (Home, Services, About, Contact) that explains what you do, where you work in Cornwall, and how people can contact or book you.
4 pages, focused on calls and trust
Home, Services, About, Contact, focused on calls, enquiries and trust. No blogs or extras you'll never have time to use.
Battle‑tested, fast, templates
Built on templates I've designed around user experience & best practice, so you get something that looks sharp & works properly without a three‑month design saga.
Blazing fast on mobile and 4G
Blazing fast on mobile and on ropey 4G outside Newquay, not just on fibre in central Truro. Performance‑first build; no bloated page builders or plugin soup.
Local SEO baked in
Local business focussed, sensible page structure, and copy geared toward "near me" searches in the bits of Cornwall you actually serve.
Not sure you need a full rebuild?
If your site mostly works but feels off, a website review is a low‑risk first step. I'll show you what to fix now and whether a full redesign is worth it later.

Yes. I can help you register or transfer a domain, point it at the new site, and set up sensible email (e.g. you@yourbusiness.co.uk) so everything works together properly. I can also advise on configuring Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 for your business.
All fixed‑price sites use a standard, high‑performance setup I’ve refined for speed, security and local SEO, without you needing to think about the tech underneath. If you want a full content management system so you can log in and edit pages yourself, that’s bespoke work on top of the £900 build, charged at £100/hour. Once the site is live, most clients just drop me an email when they need changes and I update things for them on an ad‑hoc basis.
Not by default. The £15/month hosting fee is not a retainer. The £15/month covers hosting, SSL, monitoring, backups and keeping the site online, but no content changes or design time. If you want an ongoing retainer for updates and tweaks, we can set that up separately, or you can just book ad‑hoc changes at £100/hour when you need them.
Most small business sites launch within 1–2 weeks once I have your content and photos, assuming you're available for feedback.
Once your website is built, I tend to let you decide the pace of updates. I don't hassle you with upsells or pushy redesign pitches. If you need changes, you can book ad‑hoc updates at £100/hour, and if the work takes less than an hour I’ll adjust the cost accordingly so you only pay for the actual time used.
