Authoritative Stance & Opinions
- Problem: An estate agency with UK and UAE reach needed a site that went well beyond standard property templates: multi-currency support, custom financial calculators, and a bespoke user and property management integration, all with little in the way of an off-the-shelf solution available.
- Solution: Took full technical ownership of a complex, specification-light build, engineered custom features from scratch, integrated third-party systems, and drove it through a sustained period of evolving requirements to a successful launch.
- Outcome: Site launched successfully at xglobalgroup.com in November 2025, nine months after kick-off, fully operational with all Phase 1 features live and a clear Phase 2 roadmap in place.

Project Context
X Global Group is a UK estate agency operating across both domestic and international markets, including UAE property. The site required a level of custom functionality well beyond a standard estate agency build, with multi-currency presentation, market-specific financial tools, and a user-facing property management system. I was the senior developer with full technical ownership of the project from inception to launch at Nurtur Ltd.

Project Briefing
Full technical ownership of a complex, bespoke estate agency build. Engineered multi-currency support and custom financial tools from scratch, navigating nine months of shifting requirements to a successful international launch.
The Challenge
The scope was ambitious and the constraints real:
- Bespoke at scale: The site required custom features, currency switching, mortgage and stamp duty calculators, and a user/property management integration, with little internal tooling or prior equivalent to draw from.
- Design-led specification: Development was driven primarily from design files, requiring interpretation and technical decision-making to fill gaps where functional requirements weren't formally defined.
- Moving requirements: Client and internalexpectations evolved throughout, including late additions to property types and search functionality, requiring features to be re-engineered close to launch.
- Sustained delivery pressure: The project ran across nine months with high visibility, while I continued to support other concurrent Nurtur deliveries in parallel.
The Solution
I found pragmatic, maintainable solutions to every blocker and kept delivery moving:
- Custom financial tooling: Built mortgage and stamp duty calculators from scratch, tailored to the client's market, both UK and UAE, with no existing internal reference to work from.
- Multi-currency implementation: Engineered a currency switching system to handle international property pricing, a requirement the platform had no native support for.
- CRM integration: Integrated a user and property management system scoped precisely to the client's needs, implementing only the required functionality cleanly, without inheriting unnecessary complexity.
- Late-change resilience: Absorbed a series of client-driven and internal changes close to launch, including a non-standard property type, without derailing the timeline or compromising the core feature set.
- Parallel delivery: Kept the XGG build on track while contributing to other active Nurtur projects, maintaining quality across multiple concurrent workstreams.
The Outcome
The site launched on 7 November 2025 with all Phase 1 features live:
- Live and fully operational: xglobalgroup.com launched with property search, currency switching, custom financial calculators, and CRM integration all functional from day one.
- Custom at every level: Delivered a site with a level of bespoke engineering rarely seen in a standard estate agency build, with tools and integrations that simply didn't exist before this project.
- Relationship maintained: The client launched on time and the site continues to represent X Global Group's brand and international ambitions online.
