Project Context
Peach Estate Agents is a new independent estate agency in Swindon, built to offer a friendlier, more personal alternative to the corporate chains. As a brand new business, they came to the project with their own designs and content already in hand and no existing website to replace, a genuinely clean slate. The brief was to bring those designs to life as a fast, polished, maintainable site that accurately reflected their brand from the moment they launched.

The Challenge
A straightforward project with a small number of specific considerations to get right:
- Design-to-responsive translation: The client's designs were created without a detailed understanding of how layouts behave across different screen sizes. Translating them into a fully responsive build required experience and judgement to fill those gaps faithfully, staying true to the design intent while making it work everywhere.
- Setting expectations around responsive design: As a non-technical client, Peach needed clear, calm guidance at one point when the responsive behaviour of images and layouts didn't match their expectation from a single screen view. Explaining the fluid nature of modern web design, and doing so in plain terms that made sense, was part of the job.
- Greenfield SEO: With no existing site or URL history to carry over, there was a clean opportunity to build the site's structure and metadata correctly from the start, no legacy constraints, but no existing search foundation to lean on either.
- Matching brand personality in code: 'Human, not corporate' is easy to say in a brief and harder to execute. The design had to translate into a site that actually felt that way in use, through typography, spacing, imagery, and tone.
The Solution
Applied experience and instinct to a clean brief and executed it efficiently:
- Responsive build from first principles: Translated the static designs into a fully responsive layout using experience and judgement where the designs were silent on breakpoint behaviour, preserving the visual intent across all screen sizes without compromising either the design or the usability.
- Client education, calmly delivered: When a question arose about image proportions and layout on a particular screen, explained the responsive model clearly and simply. The client understood, accepted, and moved on, a non-issue handled well.
- SEO built in from day one: With no legacy structure to replicate or work around, built the site with clean URL structures, proper metadata, and a solid technical foundation for search from the outset, the kind of groundwork that pays off quietly over time.
- Fast, focused delivery: No complexity to untangle, no context to recover, no fires to fight. Clear brief, sound judgement, efficient execution, the site was built and live promptly.
The Outcome
Peach launched cleanly and quickly as the digital home of a new agency entering a competitive local market:
- On-brand from day one: The site looks and feels like Peach, warm, human, and distinctly not another templated estate agency site.
- Fully responsive: Works correctly and looks right across all screen sizes, exactly as the client's designs intended, and in a few places, better.
- Clean SEO foundation: Launched with proper metadata, structured content, and a URL architecture that gives the agency a solid starting point for building local search visibility over time.
- Rapid launch: The build was completed and the site was live quickly, giving a new business its digital presence without an extended wait.
